White Plasticine, 8 showcases
The trigger for this work was a press picture of a butterfly from the reactor environment
from Fukushima / Japan after the nuclear accident in 2011. The
Butterflies hatching from their pupas near the reactor after the accident,
had wingdeformations by the high levels of radioactive radiation.
I started to create insects with plasticine, which could not be able to live due to missing or deformed legs and wings or other body deformations. Similar to a forensic entomologist, I arranged these fictional species within their own species and put them in showcases
